    Hello Dr. Sarah, and thanks for the info!

    I also massage my elderly cat. She allows me to gently "knead" her abdomen and chest area with my fingertips. This has helped her with bowel movements, as she sometimes has difficulty passing her stool.  I also give her "footsie" massages when clipping her claws, and I plan to try the ear massage and light full body massage as described in the video.

    If you have any particular tips for massaging cats, I would like to see/hear them.  I know my cat is unusual, in that she allows me to handle her quite a bit ... we're really close! <3

    I agree just about all dogs would enjoy a nice, calming massage once they are used to it!  Our dogs love it when we massage their ears.
